Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a distressing psychological condition where a person becomes very preoccupied with one or more features in physical appearance, e.g nose, skin, hair, etc. Any body part could be the focus of concern in BDD

BDD can seriously affect a person’s daily life, including work, education, social life and relationships. As a result, social anxiety, isolation and depression are very common in BDD. 

- 1 in 50 people suffer in BDD

- Each year, 1 in 330 people diagnosed with BDD take their life

- BDD is a treatable and beatable condition

With the pressures of looking perfect on social media and with the use of filters it is very easy to lose sight of self-love. This design was designed by a 12 year old girl who was starting to question and not identify with what was looking back at her in the mirror. This was her first impression of what BDD Foundation does for this condition, cleverly using the logo with a heart felt image perfect for everyone.
